Biography

Dr. Varun Chotia is presently working as an Associate Professor, Economics and Program Chair – First Year at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Jaipur Campus, which is the best management college for MBA in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. He is also the PAN Area Coordinator of Economics and IB area at Jaipuria Institute of Management. Prior to this, he has worked at LM Thapar School of Management, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (Deemed to be a University).

He was recently awarded as the ‘Best Faculty in Teaching Excellence’ and ‘Best Faculty for Highest Teaching Quality’ amongst all the four campuses of Jaipuria Institute of Management. He has completed his Ph.D. degree in Economics from the Department of Economics and Finance, BITS Pilani. His research specialization lies in the field of Public Infrastructure Investment and Fiscal Sustainability wherein he uses prominent econometric models for empirical analysis.

Dr. Varun is an avid researcher with more than 25 research papers published in reputed International and National Journals to his credit. Before coming into academics, he also possesses around two years of corporate experience working as a Business Analyst in corporate firms like IMS Health and Accenture Management Consulting. He has passed out from BITS PILANI with an MSc (Hons) in Economics.
