Biography

Prof. Pragya Gupta is an Assistant Professor in the HR and OB Areas at Jaipuria Institute of Management. She graduated in Sociology from Miranda House where she was the recipient of a National Scholarship from the Ministry of HRD being a Delhi University topper. She has been awarded a Ph.D. on the topic of ‘Workplace Spirituality’ from the University School of management studies, Guru Gobind Singh, Indraprastha University, Delhi, and is a lifetime member of IAMSR (International Association of Management, Spirituality, and Religion).

Her area of research interest is in workplace spirituality, employee wellbeing, work-life conflict, burnout, etc. She is accredited with close to 18 papers and articles in journals of national and international repute and proceedings of national and international conferences.

She has close to 13 plus years of prior experience in Corporate HR with MNCs like Headstrong LLC, GE, NEC-HCL Technologies, etc. Her last corporate stint was with SAP Labs as North India Head HR where she was responsible for approx. 1000 employees. She has extensive corporate work experience in the areas of strategic business HR, competency management & development, compensation & benefits, salary benchmarking, HRIMS, performance management, communication & coordination, Learning & organizational development, employee engagement, employee surveys and people pulse, HR operational excellence, statutory HR compliances, etc.

She is currently serving as Programme Director for the PGDM programme (1st year) at Jaipuria Institute of Management, India's one of the top management Colleges in Noida, Delhi NCR. Apart from taking courses in the HR/OB area, she has been involved in executing specific workshops/seminars for students on topics like “Workplace Ethics” and “Business Environment and Social Sustainability”. She has also conducted various MDPs on topics such as “Anger Management and Ego Cleansing”, “Spiritual Intelligence”, “Interpersonal Skills”, “Work-life balance”, “Diversity and Inclusion”, “Recruiting strategies”, etc.
